North Terrace Precinct Bicycle User Group


The NTPBUG was officially launched on 22/06/2007

The NTPBUG was formed to represent cyclists travelling to work, study, visit or just commuting through the City of Adelaide North Terrace Precinct. The NTPBUG is not exclusive to any particular North Terrace institution and covers approximately the geographical block bounded by Victoria Drive, Kintore Avenue, North Terrace, (both sides) and East of Frome Road The Uni SA, The Royal Adelaide Hospital and IMVS.

 
Objectives of the North Terrace Precinct Bicycle User Group

 
1)      Lobby for improvements to cycling facilities and improved cycle access with connectivity to cycle ways across Adelaide to the North Terrace Precinct.

2)    Represent cyclists who work, study and visit institutions along North Terrace and work with institutions and organisations seeking to improve cycling facilities.

3)    Undertake or facilitate research into cycling.

4)    Provide a point of contact for new cyclists, facilitate events which encourage cycling and foster social networks between cyclists.

5)    Foster cycling as part of a healthy, socially just and environmentally sustainable transport culture in Adelaide.
